Students and sometimes faculty requires preliminary training in CFD to initiate them into the technology. Though there are many books available, practical CFD poses more challenges. A right balance need to be struck on the theoretical and practical side. Zeus designs courses for the beginner’s mostly senior undergraduate and post-graduate students for getting initiated into CFD. The pre-requisites of the course are a basic understanding of computers and fluid mechanics.
The workshops are conducted on the institute premises so that most students can take advantage of the faculty interaction. Typically the workshop is conducted for 3-4 days and is neatly divided into two parts – the theory and the practical. Morning session is mostly theory and is usually conducted by IIT Professors or experience persons from Industry. Afternoon session is all practical based on the theory explained. This is conducted by experienced ZN engineers. Students work on the practice problems simultaneously with the instructors and reach solutions.
These workshops have trained hundreds of students. In all of the workshops ZN provides licenses to students to practice even after the workshop. Tutorial guides and example grids accompany the software for students to independently try out the problems. In case your college wishes to conduct such a course please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. ZN charges a small fee for covering the travel expenses etc for the faculty.
