About the Workshop

Computational Fluid Dynamics is now widely used as a tool for design of any engineering equipment involving flow or heat transfer. The importance gained by this science can be gauged from the fact that it is now declared thrust area by many bodies. This workshop aims at training/refreshing the participants in CFD techniques to enable them to produce better results. Hands-on sessions will be conducted, though the workshop focuses more on modeling and formulation of the problem rather than using any particular software. Participants are required to have a background in basic fluid mechanics to attend workshop.

At the end of the course the participants will have a a good grasp on problem solving and communication of results to designers. Importance of validation and analysis will be conveyed using examples. A certificate will be given on successful completion of the training program. Participant are encouraged to ask questions and share their problems.
